Fabric building maintenance in the autumn

Even though many of us would like summer to go on longer, it is already September and lingonberry season will soon be at its peak. Autumn is a busy time for many, as is the case for us at Best-Hall, too. We are going through the work load accumulated during the summer holiday and getting started with new orders at the same time. Despite the rush, there is still time to prepare for the coming winter to ensure that your fabric-covered building, i.e. PVC hall, is in the best shape possible.

It is a good idea to walk around the fabric structure in the delightful afternoon sun to see if any maintenance is required.

Here are some things to look out for:

  • Hem: are there holes and is the pitching in good shape.
  • Air intake openings: are they clean.
  • Extractor fans: are they functioning.
  • Vegetation: is nature getting the upper hand – tree branches wear down the fabric and roots may break the asphalt.
  • Water drains, gutters and downpipes: are there leaks or blockages.
  • Roof and walls: are there visible holes.
  • Frame: are the components damaged. Below you can find the frame components of a PVC hall and their names. The list can be used to identify the parts.
