Best-Hall is known for its fabric-covered buildings, which it has been making since 1975. Until that year, the founding brothers of Best-Hall built air-supported structures. The susceptibility of air-supported structures to damage and thus collapse, to await repair and reassembly, prompted the desire to make a frame under the fabric to prevent it from collapsing. Based on this idea, they founded Best-Hall Oy, which is today the leading manufacturer of fabric-covered buildings in Finland.
This original idea is still the main idea behind the fabric structure Best-Hall Custom: a safe, painted steel frame covered by a PVC fabric, manufactured under various quality standards. The possibilities of Best-Hall Custom are almost limitless, as the frame consists of arches and longitudinal supports. The dimensions do not matter – the building can be as large as you need it to be. The building can be anchored to either concrete or asphalt, up to a certain limit.
We can also make different shapes, such as rounded ends or even a completely hemispherical building. The side of the building may be tapered so that one end is narrower than the other.
If there is a need for a warm space, Best-Hall Custom can be insulated. The building can be either semi-warm (below +17 °C) or warm (at least +17 °C), depending on the amount of insulation between the exterior and interior cladding. The purpose of use determines this too. Insulated fabric structures are used for production, sports and storage purposes. The building can be fitted out for its intended use.
Best-Hall Custom can be fitted out with a wide range of doors: overhead doors, folding doors, sliding doors, high-speed roll-up doors and also aluminium personal access doors. Best-Hall Custom is always equipped with basic ventilation, which is carried out by roof exhaust fans that change the air in the building once every one and a half hours. The building can also be equipped with eaves, rainwater systems, smoke extractors and many other features.
Best-Hall Custom can be customised in many ways, and the price is affordable compared to traditional construction. Best-Hall has built numerous insulated buildings, as well as buildings in a variety of shapes and sizes. Arena Nordvest in Kristiansund, Norway, is shaped like a speed skating arena, i.e. the ends are round. The RAZ waste treatment facility in Weinfelden, Switzerland, tapers all the way from one end to the other, and there is a hemispherical Agrograin grain warehouse in Hungary. But Best-Hall’s bread and butter is the basic, agile fabric-covered building, such as REMA’s timber warehouse in Eben im Pongau, Austria.
