Did you know that our fabric structures also come with walls suited for the cityscape?

Best-Hall Kombi combines the agility of a fabric structure with the sturdy look of hard walls. This steel-walled building is often granted a building permit even in areas in which the cityscape or the local detailed plan requires fixed construction. However, compared to traditional construction, Kombi is a considerably more cost-effective and faster option.

Also known as a hybrid building, Best-Hall Kombi was developed for situations in which the customer is looking for versatile opportunities and options in terms of the facade of the building. You can freely choose the wall material of the Kombi building from steel-covered sandwich panels, wood and sheet metal. The building can also be supplemented with canopies or additional structures made from different materials to modify its appearance to your liking.

“The modifiable and stylish look of the Kombi building is an absolute added value in many situations, but the customer of course chooses the most suitable building primarily based on its intended purpose,” Sales Manager

Sometimes the detailed plan requires hard walls

The planning of fabric structure construction starts from looking into the detailed plan of the plot. The local detailed plan set by the municipality contains information such as whether building a temporary structure in the location is allowed or whether buildings erected in the location must have fixed walls.

“At its most detailed, the plan can also require that the walls of a building constructed in the location are made from sheet metal or no building permit will be granted.”

Thanks to its element walls, the Kombi building qualifies as fixed construction. Thus, the building may also be granted a building permit in an area where traditional fabric-walled buildings, i.e. fabric structures, are not allowed in the detailed plan. The Kombi building requires a concrete foundation as its base.

The building blends in with existing buildings

Kombi is also an easy choice in situations where there are already other buildings on the plot or in its vicinity.

“The facade of the Kombi building can easily be made to blend in with the existing building stock by selecting wall materials that are in line with the other buildings. This wall material selection does not affect the construction process, as it follows the same procedure regardless of the wall material,” Fagernäs explains.

As such, Kombi has been a popular choice to serve as an add-on to an existing sports facility, for example, or as a separate tennis, padel or ice hockey facility in an area that already features other sports facilities.
